The 2026 NFL season kicked off yesterday between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, and tonight is the first international game out in Australia between the San Francisco 49ers and Los Angeles Rams. Then soon enough, Sunday morning will arrive and Bills fans will be getting ready to take the field against the Houston Texans at 1PM EST.
It was quite the offseason for the Bills as they made a head coaching change from Sean McDermott to Joe Brady. That was the first big domino effect, and then came the change within the coordinators, and then bringing in new players to better fit the vision that Joe Brady and Brandon Beane see moving forward.
Even though the Bills underwent a bunch of changes, they are still viewed as one of the premier teams of the NFL as long as Josh Allen is playing like the best player in the league. Some people have them as No. 1 overall, while some may say they are just the best team in the AFC but are still beind a team like the Rams.
However, Pete Prisco from CBS Sports put together a power rankings list that has the Bills at No. 4 overall, but behind another AFC team that many people may not expect.

Prisco as the Seahawks and Rams in the top two spots (no surprise there), but then the Jacksonville Jaguars were listed at No. 3 ahead of the Bills.
Prisco about the Jaguars:
"Too many people are sleeping on this team heading into the season. They won 13 games last year, and they are a better team. Trevor Lawrence just might be the MVP." said Prisco.
There's no doubt that the Jaguars were a surprise team last season, and Trevor Lawrence was playing like the best quarterback going into the playoffs. At the same time, they didn't make any big time splash moves in free agency or the NFL Draft, so how much better are they really?
Yeah, they won the AFC South (in the last week), but then were bounced in the first round at home against...oh, that's right, the Bills. Buffalo beat them at home, which included Josh Allen get a 10-yard QB sneak to set them up for the game-winning touchdown late in the 4th quarter.
Buffalo is still the team to beat in the AFC, and with Joe Brady taking over, things should look a lot more different (hopefully for the better). The Bills are still in a win-now mode, and the changes that they went through just might be what they need to get over the top.
