The Buffalo Bills are heading into another offseason with many questions. The team had a successful season, especially given the circumstances with last year's free agency. However, they still can't get past Kansas City in the postseason.

The Super Bowl between the Chiefs and Eagles reminded NFL fans, GMs, coaches, and everyone else that one position is often overlooked in the NFL, the edge rusher.

The Eagles did it again as edge rushers feasted on Patrick Mahomes all night. This gave Bills fans a sigh of relief for the first time in what feels like forever. Many players on that Eagles defensive line played a part, especially Josh Sweat, who had 2.5 sacks.

Other players like Milton Williams had two sacks, and other edge players like Nolan Smith Jr. didn't record a sack but generated pressure all night. Overall, generating that immense amount of pressure destroyed the Chiefs.

Brandon Beane has been trying to generate Edge players since he was hired but wasn't as successful as Howie Roseman and the Eagles were. Beane did spend a couple of years focusing on edge rushers in the draft by drafting Greg Rousseau and A.J. Epenesa, and signing Von Miller.

The edge rusher should be a top-two position that Beane should focus on this offseason, as some notable names could help out the Bills in 2025.

DE/OLB Josh Sweat

Josh Sweat is set to hit free agency as a Super Bowl champ. The soon-to-be 28-year-old vet won't cost as much as some star players would and he can be a viable asset to the Bills squad.

Sweat has been with the Eagles for seven seasons, being one of their more consistently good, but not great pass rushers. However, he boosted his stock during his tremendous Super Bowl performance. If the Eagles don't resign Sweat, the Bills could land him for a couple of years for a decent price.

DE/OLB Khalil Mack

The man the Bills missed on back in 2014, where they would take Sammy Watkins over the superstar Buffalo Bull. Mack has had a great NFL career, ensuring himself as a future Hall of Famer. What's more impressive is the level he's still playing at 33 (soon to be 34) years old, and recording 23 sacks in the past two seasons.

Mack is another player who isn't going to break the bank, but he can come back to his old college city in Buffalo, NY. If Von Miller departs from the Bills, Mack can be that new vet that younger players can lean their shoulders on.

DE/OLB Haason Reddick

Haason Reddick had contract disputes with the New York Jets throughout the 2024 NFL season. The two sides finally agreed to have Reddick play the rest of the season but the connection was not there at all.

Reddick has earned himself a decent amount of money. He's recently had some great seasons, recording double-digit sacks in four straight years with one of them resulting in a Second-Team All-Pro selection. Reddick has had success in Philadelphia, Arizona, and Carolina so he can be successful in most environments.

There are a few risks with Reddick with one of them being his age. He's turning 31 next season, and he's taken almost an entire season off, so it's hard to tell whether or not he lost a step.

Another issue is his asking price, which is the reason why he didn't do much with the Jets. His asking price could be larger than a player of his caliber is worth. However, if a player like Reddick blossoms into the player he was in 2022, he can become the most valuable player on this list.
