The 2026 Buffalo Bills schedule is out, and it is a tough one for everyone’s favorite New York team. The analysis will continue throughout the summer as fans and experts attempt to successfully predict how the Bills will fare in the coming season.

The Bills’ own receiver group has undergone a major transformation of its own, but how does the competition stack up? These are the four receiver groups that stand out like a sore thumb as some of the worst groups the Bills will see this season.

These WR rooms won't be an issue for Bills in 2026

4.) New England Patriots

The defending AFC Champions came into the offseason needing to address the position above all others. They made a move by signing Romeo Doubs but is that enough to provide more help for MVP candidate Drake Maye?

The Patriots are no doubt looking for a step forward from Kayshon Boutte. He has been solid the last two seasons, averaging about 550 yards and he had a career-best six touchdowns in 2025. Mack Hollins is a fine third option, but Doubs needs to be the legitimate No.1 receiver they have been lacking, especially with Stefon Diggs out the door.

3.) Cleveland Browns

The Browns have more than a few pieces that could be labeled “Maybe?” Isaiah Bond and Cedric Tillman have shown the most promise but just how much of it they have remains to be seen. The only other returning option is Jerry Jeudy, who had 1,229 yards in his first year in Cleveland but fell to just 602 yards last season.

The team did invest heavily in the position in the draft. They took K.C. Concepcion late in the first round, a quick-hitter kind of receiver who can make big gains out of short plays. They also took Denzel Boston out of Washington, and both will have every opportunity to earn starting snaps in 2026. But for now, it’s a lot of hope and not a lot of tangible production for the Browns.

2.) Las Vegas Raiders

The Raiders have a lot of middling options at receiver, though none quite as bad as what the Dolphins offer. Tre Tucker is the leading returning receiver with 696 yards and five touchdowns. Jalen Nailor (444 yards, 4 touchdowns) and Jack Bech (224 yards) would be decent third targets in better offenses but will be tough to get more out of as featured players.

The Raiders added Malik Benson late in the draft but didn’t do a whole lot to better this group overall. The hope is Bech – a second-round pick in 20225 – and Tucker can take on bigger roles. In reality, we are likely going to see a group in transition again heading into 2027.

1.) Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins are undergoing a massive shift in culture and direction. Gone are Tyreek Hill (released) and Jaylen Waddle (traded to the Denver Broncos). There is a dearth of talent and a wealth of opportunities available to this group.

The “starters” as of now are Malik Washington, Jalen Tolbert, and Tutu Atwell, who combined for 712 yards in 2025. They added Caleb Douglas, Chris Bell, and Kevin Coleman Jr. through the draft, and the Dolphins will be looking for anyone who stands out in a serious way in 2026.

Receiver is at a premium

The Bills have a few intriguing position battles to monitor but it feels like the team is improved in 2026 even if it just comes down to a scheme change on defense. The team invested a lot in to the receiver position and hope to see real dividends paid in that regard.
