The Buffalo Bills didn’t have to worry about getting ready for an opponent this week as they are resting on their bye week. After being out on the west coast in back-to-back weeks, the Bills improved to 5-1 with tough wins over the Rams and Raiders. Once Week 7 is wrapped up, the Bills are set to play football every week from now until January.
Buffalo has a pretty tough schedule for the rest of the season and they could very well hit some bruises along the way. The AFC East is a close race between the Bills and the New England Patriots, and it could be a difference of one game that decides who wins the division.
The Bills and Bills Mafia will get the chance to relax in Week 7, but with Week 8 coming up, we have put together a projection game-by-game on how the Bills could finish the regular season.
Predicting the rest of the Bills' regular season schedule after Week 7 bye week
Week 8: Baltimore Ravens
It's always a clash when the Bills and Ravens face off against each other. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson come from the same draft class, and these games typically end in a one-score game. That could very well be the case here once again. The Ravens haven't beaten the Bills in Orchard Park since 2019, and I believe that streak will continue on.
Prediction: Bills def. Ravens
Record: 6-1
Week 9: @ Minnesota Vikings (MNF)
The Bills have a second Monday night game on the road up in Minnesota to take on a Vikings team that has been a bit of a surprise. However, their defense under Brian Flores is ferocious and they will for sure be looking to bring the pressure against Josh Allen.
This feels like one of those games where the Bills just don't look like themselves and end up playing bad football. Even though Allen typically performs well in primetime, I'm giving the nod to the Vikings in this one.
Prediction: Vikings def. Bills
Record: 6-2
Week 10: @ New York Jets
Going back out on the road for a divisional game across the state; the Bills will play in just their second AFC East matchup against the New York Jets. The Bills haven't lost to the Jets since the 2023 Monday night opener where Aaron Rodgers played just 4 snaps before tearing his Achilles, and then Zach Wilson came in to lead a comeback win against Buffalo.
The Jets could very well give the Bills a scare or two, but the Bills end up taking this game simply because of the talent difference overall.
Prediction: Bills def. Jets
Record: 7-2
Week 11: Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins come to Buffalo with cold weather approaching, giving the Bills a little bit of an advantage. Everyone that watches football on a consistent basis knew that the Dolphins had the chance to be the worst team in the NFL. They may be 1 of the remaining 2 teams that are winless, but there is no doubt that the Dolphins play hard.
They almost upset the Vikings in Week 4 and then they gave the Bengals a bit of a scare the following week. Overall, the Dolphins just simply don't have the talent to run with Buffalo. The Bills take this game with no problem.
Prediction: Bills def. Dolphins
Record: 8-2
Week 12: Kansas City Chiefs (Thanksgiving Night)
Ah, yes. Josh Allen vs. Patrick Mahomes...does it get any better than this? It's the best rivalry in the NFL and it's nothing but an electric showdown when these two QBs battle each other. Kansas City remains undefeated and they look like a much better team than last season.
The Bills have no problem beating the Chiefs in the regular season, considering that they have beaten them every year since 2021 during the regular season. Then you have the playoffs, where the Bills have yet to take down the Chiefs in some of the most dramatic playoff games we have ever seen.
Who knows if the Chiefs will be undefeated by this time, but I've got the confidence in the Bills to get the primetime win over Kansas City.
Prediction: Bills def. Chiefs
Record: 9-2
Week 13: @ New England Patriots
The Patriots already took the first game against the Bills in Orchard Park, and now they will look for a season sweep over Buffalo. The Bills beat the Patriots in Foxborough last season after coming back dwon 21-0. Hopefully it won't be that same type of thriller where it came down to the wire.
It's extremely hard to see the Patriots getting the season sweep here, but I think that it unfortunately happens and that New England continues to give Buffalo trouble. This loss hurts.
Prediction: Patriots def. Bills
Record: 9-3
Week 14: @ Green Bay Packers (SNF)
The Bills are back in primetime on the road to go up to what should be a very cold Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. This has the chance to be an extremely great game, even though it could be freezing up there.
The Packers have started to find their stride the last three games, but we have seen this story before. It's only a matter of time before things start to slowly fall apart with them. However, one challenge that the Bills could have is facing Micah Parsons, who has a great chance at being back by the time this game rolls around.
Still, the Bills take this game in front of a national audience against the Packers.
Prediction: Bills def. Packers
Record: 10-3
Week 15: Chicago Bears
Assuming that both teams are as healthy as possible, this is lined up to be a potentially high-scoring game. Ben Johnson, Joe Brady, Caleb Williams, Josh Allen. What more could you ask for?
Both defenses have major issues while the offenses are thriving big-time. Up to this point, this game has the potential to see each team scoring 30, maybe even 40+ points. Buffalo has shown that they can win high-scoring matchups and that’s why I’ll give them the advantage just by a little.
Prediction: Bills def. Bears
Record: 11-3
Week 16: @ Denver Broncos (Christmas Day)
The last time the Bills and the Broncos faced each other, Denver broke Bills Mafia’s hearts and also ended Sean McDermott’s tenure with the Bills. Now, Joe Brady gets his chance to change history back out in Denver.
The Broncos, atleast on the offense, look stale and not dynamic despite them making the big splash trade to acquire Jaylen Waddle. Now granted, there is plenty of time before this matchup and things can change in an instant. I expect that Denver will change things for the better and give the Bills a tough time.
In this prediction, I’ve got the Bills doing everything they can to get the win on Christmas, but the Broncos spoil the holiday for them. Denver gets a close win here.
Prediction: Broncos def. Bills
Record: 11-4
Week 17: @ Miami Dolphins
The Bills get out of the cold as they head down to south beach to take on the Dolphins in Miami. We have the Bills beating the Dolphins earlier in the season, and hopefully the Dolphins already have their first win of the season by Week 17. Even if they don’t, the Bills take the season series against the Dolphins.
Prediction: Bills def. Dolphins
Record: 12-4
Week 18: New York Jets
Last season, the Bills closed out the old Highmark Stadium against the New York Jets and gave them a 35-8 beatdown. Now, the Jets visit the Bills in Week 18 in the regular season finale. By this time, the Bills will be playoff bound and the Jets more than likely will already be out of the playoff race.
Even though this is the type of game that Buffalo could lose and almost no one would care, they still find a way to close out the regular season with a win.
