James Cook was the star of the Bills' win last Sunday against the New York Jets, going for over 100 yards and scoring two touchdowns. How will the fourth-year running back follow that up on Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins?

In six career games against the Dolphins, Cook actually has not had a dominant game on the ground yet. He's averaged 37.3 yards per game against Miami per StatMuse, with his best game coming last year on Thursday Night Football, when he ran for 78 yards on 11 attempts and two touchdowns. He's only scored a touchdown in one other game against the Dolphins, on October 1st, 2023.

Cook has been productive against the Dolphins, especially in the past two seasons, but he has yet to go for over 100 yards against the division rivals. Could that change this week?

It feels like Cook will at least find the endzone. He scored in nearly every game last year and has already started 2025 off with three touchdowns in two games.

How will James Cook perform in Week 3 vs. Dolphins?

Cook will score again this Thursday. In fact, he will do it twice, once on the ground and once through the air. However, he won't put up a ton of yardage numbers like he did against the Jets. He'll rush for 53 yards on 14 attempts, while catching three passes for 19 yards.

That should be good enough to lead the Bills to an easy, 31-16 win. Cook is a rising star, and his ability to find the endzone whenever his team needs him to is impressive. While he's not going to contribute 100 yards every game, it's the scoring that matters most.

James Cook is set-up nicely to add two more touchdowns to his 2025 campaign on Thursday Night Football.
