Bills players to still keep an eye on
If their names are called to the active man roster, these players will be ready to showcase their talents on gamedays. Third-string quarterback Shane Buechele has been hanging around the building as the team's emergency quarterback during game days.
His job of warming up on the sidelines during game day while watching Josh Allen go to work with the offense is similar to when he was a reserve quarterback watching Patrick Mahomes on game days with the Kansas City Chiefs. Buechele may not make the roster as the official third-string quarterback, but his sideline dedication earned the fans' respect.
The Bills brought in Lloyd Cushenberry as a durable and versatile veteran lineman who could be a Super Bowl-caliber presence on the offensive line, particularly for Sedrick Van Pran-Granger, who is also on the roster bubble.
Javon Solomon has the potential to be a talented young pass rusher with his elite speed and burst to stop opponents coming around the edge, should he make the roster.
When the Bills drafted him in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft, he was expected to contribute to Sean McDermott's defense, but he wasn't a strong fit due to his lack of size and power as an edge rusher, which Brandon Beane typically seeks.
While he fits better in Jim Leonhard's 3-4 aggressive scheme, his inability to stop the run is why he will be cut from the other bigger, more powerful edge rushers needed in this scheme.
