Buffalo Bills don't need Jonathan Taylor with James Cook

While there wasn't any official trade request for Davante Adams, that wasn't the case for Jonathan Taylor. The former All-Pro running back was granted permission to seek a trade before the start of the season.

However, he was dealing with an ankle injury and the Colts kept him on the PUP list to begin the year. This meant he wasn't available for the first four weeks but with his expected return this week, those trade discussions could pick back up.

At the beginning of the season, the Buffalo Bills were a popular trade destination for Taylor as their run game has struggled the past few years. The one uncertainty was James Cook, who entering the second year in the league looked to be stepping into the featured role.

The performance of Cook over the past few weeks doesn't give Buffalo any real reason to trade away draft capital, most likely a Day 2 pick, for Jonathan Taylor. It might have been a possibility earlier this year but that is no longer the case.
