Buffalo Bills won't make an offer for Davante Adams
The Las Vegas Raiders have not gotten off to a great start and are currently stuck in a three game losing streak after a one-point win over the Denver Broncos in Week 1. After Week 3, Adams voiced his frustration according to ESPN's Paul Gutierrez and it began to spark trade rumors for the former All-Pro.
While the Raiders have struggled, Davante Adams continues to play at a high level and ranks in the Top 10 in the league in receptions (33), receiving yards (397), and receiving touchdowns (3). If the Raiders were to make him available, there would be plenty of teams that should be interested.
However, the Buffalo Bills shouldn't be one of them. On the surface, it might make some sense as Gabe Davis is in the final year of his contract and the team doesn't really have great depth at the position.
The problem is that Davante Adams has a massive contract that would make it almost impossible to fit under the salary cap this season, let alone next year. The Bills offense has looked great to begin the season and there is no reason to take on extra salary at that position.
