Top 15 greatest draft picks in Buffalo Bills history
11. Tre'Davious White, Cornerback (2017 Draft)
Tre'Davious White as an active player on the Bills roster has already made this list, and for good reason. He's been a shutdown corner ever since his freshman year at LSU. He's a versatile athlete with elite ball skills, elite footwork, great physicals and great technique overall. Not to mention, he also had one of the best punt returns in college football history against Jacksonville State.
Football fans were shocked that White dropped all the way to 27 in the draft, although Bills fans are extremely thankful for the teams that passed on him.
White was another plug and play starter for the Bills weak secondary after Stephon Gilmore's departure. He would show flashes of brilliance early and often.
White would end up recording an impressive four interceptions in his rookie year but was beaten out by fellow rookie Marshon Lattimore for the Defensive Rookie of the Year award, as he would record five interceptions and was already one of the best corners in the league.
White would go on to prove that he was also one of the best corners in the NFL, as he would earn a First-Team All-Pro selection in 2019 and two total Pro Bowl selections so far. White is over Gilmore on this list because White has reached an elite level of play faster than Gilmore has.
White is also still with Buffalo to this day, although since his ACL tear at the end of the 2021 season, he's lost a step and has not really been the same athlete as of recently. Although when the 2023 season comes rolling around, fans will start to know whether or not White will be the same elite player that they've seen in the past.
