Rasul Douglas - Cornerback

Rasul Douglas might be the most important member of the Bills' defense. It's no coincidence the Bills' resurgence on the defensive side of the ball occurred when Brandon Beane acquired Douglas in a trade-deadline deal. When the Bills lost Tre'Davious White, they lost a guy they could trust in one-on-one coverage against any wide receiver in the league. Buffalo's defense over the last six games has been a top-five unit and it's largely due to Douglas.

Douglas' arrival also seems to have helped Christian Benford elevate his game. As a veteran in this league, I'm sure there have been moments where Douglas pulled Benford to the side and said, hey, when you see this, this is likely to happen. He's helped in the firm room too and now these two have formed one of the best duos in the league, as evidenced by their eighth-ranked Pro Football Focus grades for 2023.
