It wouldn't be an offseason without questions surrounding Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs. This was a pretty consistent storyline last year after the way the season ended and some of the comments in the months after by Diggs.

This offseason, the speculation has ramped up once again due to cryptic tweets by the star wide receiver. It started on March 15th shortly after news broke of the Buffalo Bills signing wide receiver Curtis Samuel with Diggs tweeting 'Ready for watever.'

The tweets didn't end there and on Saturday it was another short tweet of 'Well...' and the most recent tweet acknowledging what he has done since the Bills traded for him four years ago to the day.

According to the tweet, Diggs has ranked in the Top 5 in games played, receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns since joining the Buffalo Bills.

Is Stefon Diggs hoping for teams to call the Buffalo Bills about a trade?

There is no question that Stefon Diggs enjoys sharing these cryptic tweets because it gets fans talking, and results in articles like this one. However, at some point it is not necessarily just generating headlines but there is a level of truth within the ambiguity of the social media posts.

The Buffalo Bills offense is certainly better with Stefon Diggs and the former All-Pro has produced like a Top 5 wide receiver. Unfortunately the Bills have not had much success in the playoffs or able to achieve the ultimate goal of a Super Bowl title.

This could be the driving force behind the tweets as Stefon Diggs wants to win a title. It was what he said during training camp last year and he probably wants to have that success with the Buffalo Bills.

The challenge is giving Diggs the confidence that it can be with the Buffalo Bills. It remains to be seen how many years he has left as an elite option and from his perspective he doesn't want to waste those.

For the Buffalo Bills, the challenge really comes down to money as a trade of Diggs this offseason creates significant dead cap of over $31 million that would result in the team losing almost $3.5 million in cap space. However, if Stefon Diggs continues with these social media posts, other teams may end up calling and the Bills will be forced to make a tough decision.
