Which players recently signed by the Buffalo Bills are already cut candidates this offseason?

In past offseasons, the NFL Draft has usually signaled the end of notable roster moves that teams would make. However, that hasn't been the case for the Buffalo Bills as they have been busy adjusting their roster over the past six weeks since the 2023 NFL Draft.

For some players, like Poona Ford and Leonard Floyd, their spots look pretty secure on the 53-man roster. Although for others, they are facing an uphill battle to earn one of those spots due in large part to the depth already at the position.

These are six players who were signed since the 2023 NFL Draft that are already cut candidates this season.

Latavius Murray

Latavius Murray is a veteran running back who this past season played with the Denver Broncos. He was signed only a few days after the NFL Draft and joins a group in the backfield that already includes Damien Harris, James Cook, and Nyheim Hines.

The Buffalo Bills have typically had four running backs on their 53-man roster but one of those spots went to Taiwan Jones, who really only played special teams. Since Latavius Murray hasn't played much special teams later in his career, he likely doesn't fit that role.

James Cook and Nyheim Hines are pretty much locks that leave a position battle between Harris and Murray. I would expect Damien Harris to be the player to earn that spot and it wouldn't be surprising to see Murray end up being cut to eventually re-sign to the practice squad.
