Recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft has Bills selecting stud wide receiver

The 2024 season will be a turning point for the Buffalo Bills. Whether it is for better or for worse, the Bills are going to more than likely shake up a lot of things next offseason. The good news is that Josh Allen will still be under center and more than likely, Sean McDermott will be on the sidelines as the head coach as long as an ultimate collapse doesn’t occur this season.

Even though this upcoming season has to happen, it’s never too early to start looking at prospects for next year’s NFL draft. The Bills entered the 2024 NFL draft needing a wide receiver. If their first draft pick wasn’t a wide receiver, Bills fans would have lost it. While it took the Bills until night two to get their wide receiver, they started off the second round by drafting Keon Coleman after trading back twice in and out of the first round.

There is a good chance that the Bills could go back to the wide receiver position in the draft next year if this new Bills receiving core doesn’t pan out the way the coaching staff is hoping it will. While the Bills drafted Coleman this year and signed Curtis Samuel to a three-year deal, you can never have too many receivers in today’s NFL.

Ryan Wilson from CBS Sports created a very early 2025 NFL mock draft and the Bills landed themselves a receiver that possibly would have gone in the first round this year. Wilson has the Bills taking Ohio State wide receiver Emeka Egbuka.

"Egbuka battled through injuries in 2023 but had 1,151 receiving yards the season before, including 46 catches that went for at least 10 yards. The Bills, meanwhile, could be looking to add more young weapons alongside Keon Coleman now that Stefon Diggs is in Houston."

Egbuka opted to return to Ohio State for the 2024 season after dealing with injuries last season. It could be to improve his draft stock for next year. Now he will have the chance to do that with the Buckeyes. However, his 2022 season was phenomenal in a crowded wide receiver room.

As long as Egbuka can stay healthy and lead Ohio State next year, his stock will certainly improve. The biggest question is whether or not the Bills will be in a situation where they can get him, or if they will need to potential trade up for his services.
