Why are Bills Fans Concerned Now Entering the 2023 Season?

The Bills starters would finally see the field for the first time against the Pittsburgh Steelers in week 2 of the preseason. Fans would finally get a glimpse of what their offense would look like, and were ultimately disappointed for what they saw.

Allen and the first-team offense would see the field for three total drives, which all resulted in Allen getting pressured, three offensive line penalties, including a holding penalty that took away a 35-yard rope to Gabe Davis.

The rest of the game resulted in 8 total penalties on offense, which is something you'd never want to see from the team, even if it's from backups.

Are Fans Overreacting?

There are also fans who aren't too concerned about the preseason outing. Take note that it is the first time the Bills starters have taken the field against an opponent, so players could be just shaking off some rust.

However, a lot of this potential "rust" is mainly from the offensive line, starters and backups, which is why fans are concerned due to last season's biggest offensive weakness being the offensive line.

Could this be a sign for bad things to come for the Bills?

It is still preseason, and the Bills starters are set to take the field in the first quarter this Saturday against the Chicago Bears, so we'll see if the Bills can clean up their mistakes.
