1.) Miami Dolphins
Yet another division rival on the Bills on this list, and neither of them are the New England Patriots led by Bill Belichick. Just like the Jets, the Dolphins gave the Bills a run for their money as they beat the Bills in their first meeting by two points, and ended up losing the next two meetings of the season by a combined six points.
The Dolphins already have an explosive offense with dangerous receivers in Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle. Now their defense was improved in the offseason by acquiring cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the Los Angeles Rams who will play opposite of shutdown corner, Xavien Howard. Although, Ramsey was not the biggest acquisition for Miami.
While Mike McDaniel will continue to help develop quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, newly hired defensive coordinator Vic Fangio will run the defense which is arguably the biggest upgrade that a team received this past offseason. Fangio knows how to get to the quarterback and not allow big plays to get behind the defense.
Say what you want about Fangio as a head coach from his time in Denver, but he knows defense and he will be able to get the most out of a unit that has star cornerbacks, a young edge rusher in Jaelan Phillips, and a full offseason with edge rusher Bradley Chubb.
The Dolphins are on the come up and are the team that could surpass the Bills in the division. While Josh Allen has had success against the Dolphins in his career, this year could be the toughest matchups against Miami of his career.
