2.) New York Jets

Last season, the Jets and the Bills split the season series against each other when the Jets had mediocre quarterback play. Now they made a huge upgrade at the quarterback position, and should have a similar defense like last year. Finishing as a top five defense last season, the Jets only gave up 15 passing touchdowns which was the least amount given up by a team.

Much like Ron Rivera of the Washington Commanders, Robert Saleh could be coaching for his job this season. Now that there is a legit quarterback to run the offense with his chosen offensive coordinator in Nathaniel Hackett, Saleh may have more of an opportunity to focus more on the defense to repeat as a top defensive unit.

The two games last season between the Bills and the Jets ended with the Jets winning the first meeting by three, and the Bills winning the final meeting by eight. This is a representation that these games are close and defense could be the difference maker. Look for the Jets to be a bump in the road for the Bills this season.
