3. San Francisco 49ers, Week 13
The 49ers were one of the top defenses in the league in 2023, with stars all over the place. They have one of the best edge rushers in Nick Bosa, one of if not the best linebackers in Fred Warner, and a bunch of other solid starters all around.
They did lose Arik Armstead to free agency but brought in a solid replacement in former Bill, Leonard Floyd. This defense is going to be a challenge, considering one of their previous defensive coordinators is the head coach for division rival the New York Jets (Robert Saleh), and the Jets tend to give the Bills fits every time they play them.
Also, the 49ers were just in the Super Bowl and gave the Chiefs all they could handle, and was the most competitive team to face the Chiefs in the post-season not named the Buffalo Bills.
2. Kansas City Chiefs, Week 11
The Chiefs are back-to-back Super Bowl champions, and with a Top-3 defense in 2023 is a problem. The single most important piece on their defense happens to be probably the best defensive tackle in the league in Chris Jones, who has made significant plays against this Bills team.
Most notably in the Divisional Round against the Bills where he knocked back Dion Dawkins enough to disrupt a would-be touchdown pass to Khalil Shakir. Not only do they have Jones, but they also have one of the best slot cornerbacks in Trent McDuffie, an up-and-coming defensive end in George Karlaftis, along with a bunch of solid starters all around.
They did lose L'Jarius Sneed to free agency which will be a tough blow to this defense, but nothing that their elite defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo can't adjust to.
