The 2024 season for the Buffalo Bills will be a daunting one. They have some pretty tough defenses that they will face. These five defenses alone could be Top 10 defenses in the league when it's all said and done.

That is a tall task for this Bills offense, who are operating without some key pieces they had in 2023 in Stefon Diggs, Mitch Morse, and Gabe Davis. They did add some pieces in free agency and the draft, but they are going to miss the leadership in those players they lost. Especially against these top-end defenses that could challenge this new-look offense the Bills will roll out in 2024. Here are the top 5 defenses that the Bills will face this year.

5. Baltimore Ravens, Week 5

The 2023 Baltimore Ravens were a force of nature and were arguably a Top 3 defense all last year. They dismantled the 49ers and the Dolphins at the end of last year, and those two offenses were some of the most high-flying offenses in the league.

One of the main reasons why they are not higher up on this list for 2024 is they lost some key defensive talent. One of those pieces was their defensive coordinator in Mike Macdonald, who is one of the better young defensive minds in this league that left for the vacant head coaching job in Seattle.

Along with Macdonald, the Ravens lost Patrick Queen to free agency, and not just to any team, but their bitter rival in the Pittsburgh Steelers. That is a huge blow to the middle of their defense. Not only did they lose their star linebacker in Queen, but also they lost Geno Stone who was arguably their best ball-hawking safety alongside their other star safety in Kyle Hamilton. Even further, they lost Jadeveon Clowney, who, although out of his prime, still contributed in a big way for their defensive front.

Amid all these losses though, the Ravens should still be a scary defense in 2024. They still have John Harbaugh who is a well-established coach in this league who has won a Super Bowl with this organization. Expect the Ravens to be a challenge early on for the Bills.
