Ranking the Buffalo Bills most important ‘Newcomers’ entering playoffs

Heading into the 2023 playoffs, the Bills most important players are pretty obvious. But which new Bills can have the greatest impact on the team's Super Bowl aspirations as they enter Sunday's opening matchup against the Steelers?

1. Dalton Kincaid

Welcome to the big stage, rookie.

When the Bills traded up to select tight end Dalton Kincaid in the first round of the NFL draft, they were looking for a glorified receiver who could be a reliable target for Allen — and they got exactly that.

In Kincaid's first season with the Bills, he broke the franchise's record for receptions by a tight end in a single season with 73. And the best part is that Kincaid has enjoyed solid performances entering the postseason. In the past two weeks, the rookie has hauled in 11 receptions for 171 yards.

As mentioned, Davis is injured to begin the playoffs and Buffalo needs a pass catcher to step up in his absence. Alongside Khalil Shakir, Kincaid will likely see his target share increase during the postseason, especially if the weather is shotty on opening weekend.

In a couple of inches of snow and some gusty winds, Kincaid can act as a safety valve for Allen in the passing game. The 24-year-old tight end is part of the Bills promising future. And in Buffalo, they're hoping that the future is now.
