2.) New York Jets

If the Jets had an average quarterback play last season, they arguably would have been a playoff team. One of the reasons why they were in the playoff hunt at one point was because of their defense which featured defensive tackle Quinnen Williams, who just received a massive extension this offseason, and star shut-down cornerback Sauce Gardner who is in the argument as the best corner in the game.

The Jets defense overall finished as a Top 5 unit in the league. They finished as a Top 3 unit against the pass and were in the middle of the pack against the run. The most points that the Jets allowed in a game in 2022 was 30 points against the Cleveland Browns, in which the Jets still won 31-30.

The team was at a 7-4 record before losing their last six games of the season and missing out on the playoffs. In four of those six losses, the Jets defense gave up no more than 20 points (they only gave up 11 points in week 18 and still lost).

With the Jets getting a big upgrade on offense with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, the Jets are expected to take a step forward as a team and help out the defense by putting points on the board. The Jets defense, led by Robert Saleh should be a wrecking crew once again.
