Projecting Greg Rousseau's 2024 stats with Buffalo Bills
By Brandon Ray
As we continue on with player projections, we now take a look at Buffalo Bills defensive end Greg Rousseau. The 2021 first-round pick for the Bills has become a key factor in this defense over the last three years. He has racked up 129 total tackles with 17 sacks while learning from veterans like Von Miller and Leonard Floyd. Coming from the University of Miami, Rousseau had a high ceiling of talent but did not have a great sample size of production because he only had one true year of playing while in college. However, he managed to get 15.5 sacks that season. The Bills were able to get Rousseau at No. 30th overall and they are looking to develop him into their next big pass rusher.
Rousseau has impressed the coaching staff and front office to where his fifth-year option of his rookie contract was picked up, meaning that he is a Bill for atleast two more seasons. Bills fans should expect to see news in the next year of Rousseau signing an extension with the Bills.
While Rousseau has not developed into a star player, he is a solid one who can create interior and outside pressure against the pass. In addition, his run support has become more valuable each season.
With Floyd out of Buffalo now, Rousseau will have some pressure to take over as the hopeful sack leader for this defense. He still has yet to reach double digit sacks but as long as he stays on the field, there is a high chance that he can accomplish that. He is close to getting paid big time and players always perform at their best.
It’s time for Rousseau to have his breakout season. As long as an injury doesn’t happen to Rousseau, he is one Bill that fans can be excited for in 2024.
