Slot Receiver: Khalil Shakir

One new change this season is going to be at slot receiver after the Buffalo Bills released Isaiah McKenzie and did not re-sign Cole Beasley, who they signed towards the end of last season. This is one of a few position battles on the offensive side of the ball and it should come down to Khalil Shakir and Trent Sherfield.

With Stefon Diggs away for most of the offseason workouts, Josh Allen got some extra work with the other wide receivers on the roster. Khalil Shakir was one that Allen mentioned and said he "has a lot of trust in him."

As a rookie, Shakir didn't see consistent work during the regular seasons but did see an increase in targets in the playoffs with seven in those games compared to only 20 targets during the regular season. The former fifth round pick should continue that momentum from the playoffs into training camp and be the team's slot receiver this season.
