2 Seed: Baltimore Ravens

If the Kansas City Chiefs were not in the AFC, then the Baltimore Ravens would be the favorite to finish as the top team in the conference. This is one of the most well-rounded rosters in the NFL and can beat teams in a number of different ways.

It starts at quarterback for them with Lamar Jackson, who is a nightmare matchup for any defense. However, it is only going to be tougher this season with Derrick Henry joining him in the backfield. On weeks that the run game might not be working, Jackson still has pass catchers like Zay Flowers and Mark Andrews.

The defense once again should be a top group with Justin Madubuike returning at defensive tackle along with Roquan Smith at linebacker and Kyle Hamilton at safety. It will be a close race between the Ravens and Bengals but Baltimore ends up with the division and the two seed.

1 Seed: Kansas City Chiefs

At this point, there is no reason to question the Kansas City Chiefs until they give us a reason to do so. The Chiefs didn't really lose much on their roster but only got better with additions like Marquise Brown and Xavier Worthy. The coaching staff though is really what puts this team over the edge with Andy Reid as head coach and Steve Spagnola as defensive coordinator.

The other advantage they have is they play in probably the worst division in the conference, which helps them secure the number one seed and a first-round bye. For teams like the Buffalo Bills, who have to play the Jets and Dolphins a total of four times or the Ravens playing the Bengals and Steelers four times, it will be tough to secure a sweep against those teams while the Chiefs should finish 5-1 or 6-0 in the AFC West.
