This is only going to pick up steam until a deal happens.

This is a topic that is not going away anytime soon. In fact, it's obviously not going away until a trade happens, and hopefully, that trade is to the Buffalo Bills.

On Tuesday, Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams officially requested a trade. After what felt like months of speculation over whether or not he was truly happy with the Raiders and satisfied with the direction of the organization, the news broke.

Adams wants out of Las Vegas, and so the Raiders have begun the process of speaking with teams in reference to a trade.

Of course, one of the most obvious trade partners that's going to be talked about all the way up until a potential deal is the idea of Adams reuniting with Aaron Rodgers now with the New York Jets. It seems far too obvious at this point, but the Bills have an opportunity to snag him right from beneath the Jets' nose.

This isn't just a fan take, either. The Bills are a team that is in need of a legitimate, alpha wide receiver to pair with the current group like Keon Coleman, Khalil Shakir, Curtis Samuel and Mack Hollins. Speaking of Hollins, he's a former teammate of Adams in Vegas as well, so there's a connection.

After Adams made his trade request, NFL insider James Palmer went live and talked about potential fits but had this to say, specifically, which should leave Bills fans on the edge of their seats:

"Another team to really keep an eye on, in my opinion ... the Bills ... that team can be good offensively. That's a team that's a Super Bowl contender and has been lacking at the receiver spot," Palmer said.

What would a Davante Adams trade look like for the Bills?

Now, we know what the Raiders are officially looking for in a trade package for the former All Pro. Las Vegas is reportedly looking for a deal including a second-round pick amongst "additional compensation" for Adams.

The Bills could and should absolutely make that type of offer.

Brandon Beane should throw caution to the wind, here, if it meant landing someone like Adams for Josh Allen's no. 1 receiver. There really isn't a reason why this team shouldn't go all-in on Adams, other than potential financial concerns.

Adams' cap number rises to roughly $36 million next season, and the Bills obviously have some work to do with the cap and possibly adding more to Josh Allen's contract. But, we've seen countless examples of the cap being manipulated.

Beane has the ability to make this happen and for it to work. There's a reason why the Bills are among the top ideal landing spots for Adams, regardless of the money.
