When the Buffalo Bills selected wide receiver Keon Coleman in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft, no one could have expected him to become a quick fan favorite in Buffalo. He has a big personality that has got the attention of Bills fans for his love of cookies and promoting Macy’s jackets in his early-on press conferences. Now he will need to focus on building chemistry with his teammates and most importantly, Josh Allen.

This rookie wide receiver class was one of the strongest classes coming out of college and a lot of them ended up in the best situation possible (other than Malik Nabers going to the New York Giants). Coleman may have ended up in the best situation out of all of them, including Marvin Harrison Jr. who was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals.

Having an electrifying quarterback like Allen should help elevate any receiver on the Bills. With a new look offense coming to Buffalo in 2024, Coleman has the chance to grow as the team’s future number one receiver.

A lot of fans and analysts are counting on Coleman to provide an immediate impact in his rookie year, including NFL Analyst Bucky Brooks who listed Keon Coleman as a player to watch who could win the Offensive Rookie of the Year award.

Keon Coleman has a big opportunity to win this award

No one knows how this Bills offense will operate with a full year of Joe Brady calling the plays. After taking over as the offensive coordinator in the middle of last season, Bills fans saw a different type of offense where everyone was getting the ball, not just one star player.

At the end of the day, Buffalo needs their receivers to step up this year because there is no labeled true number one receiver. This is a perfect chance for Coleman to make his immediate impact and grow as Allen’s go-to guy in the passing game. It’s not very often that rookie receivers get the chance to play with an elite quarterback. Coleman lucked out and landed in the best position possible.
