The Buffalo Bills are set to play in the Game of the Week in the highly anticipated game with the Miami Dolphins in Week 4. It is a game that will match up the leading scoring team (Dolphins) and the second leading scoring team (Bills).

It is a tough task for any defense to try to slow down either offense and unfortunately both teams are going to be missing key players on their defense. For the Miami Dolphins, it is pass rusher Jaelan Phillips who wasn't able to practice all week due to an oblique injury.

Meanwhile, the Buffalo Bills secondary will be without a key player and a leader of this group in safety Jordan Poyer. Alongside Micah Hyde, these two create one of the best safety duos in the league and his absence creates a big hole for this defense.

However, this is one of the reasons the free agent addition of Taylor Rapp was one of the more underrated moves this offseason for the Bills. He was a starting safety for the Rams and now gets a chance to step in for Poyer.

With Poyer being ruled out, it also opens the door for Damar Hamlin to be active for the first time this season. Hamlin suffered cardiac arrest against the Cincinnati Bengals last season and returned to an NFL game during the preseason. However, this is the first regular season game Hamlin will play in since the injury.

One player that is still waiting to be active for the first time this season is former first round pick Kaiir Elam. The Bills cornerback has been inactive every week this season with Christian Benford and Dane Jackson ahead of him on the depth chart.
