Jake Moody erased one of the Buffalo Bills' few Super Bowl highlights
The Super Bowl didn't quite get off to the fast start that most expected, with the first quarter ending in a scoreless tie. After a Christian McCaffrey fumble on the opening drive, the Chiefs and the 49ers traded more than a couple three-and-outs through the next 15 minutes.
Then, in the 2nd quarter, the 49ers broke through with the first points of the game, a 55-yard field goal from rookie kicker Jake Moody. And in doing so, the Bills found themselves once tied to this Super Bowl in a way that no one expected, or frankly even asked for.
The Bills were just out here, watching the Super Bowl like everyone else, nothing bothering anyone. And then, out of nowhere, they're catching strays during one of the more boring first quarters of a Super Bowl in recent memory. If there's any silver lining, it's that everyone's talking about a Bills Super Field goal that didn't miss wide right? I don't know. Here's to hoping that there's more action in the 2nd half – otherwise we're all just going to have to focus on a Bills Super Bowl loss from 30 years ago. What a fun way to spend your Sunday.
