It is very rare to have multiple NFL fans have the same rankings list at each position. There is so much to include when making lists of who the best players of all time are. Considerations like accomplishments, pure talent, and how much the game was changed because of what the player provided on the field. Not everyone saw Joe Montana play in person, yet he is still considered one of the best of all time. The same thing goes for players like Dan Marino, Walter Payton, Reggie White, Bruce Smith and so much more. However, everyone has their own opinion and they have the choice to decide whether or not they want to provide reasoning as to why certain players are ranked where they are.

Brandon Aiyuk from the San Francisco 49ers, who has been in the media regarding a contract extension that he is seeking, was on The Pivot Podcast in which he named his top five NFL wide receivers of all time. Andrew Peters from Bleacher Report published a piece about Aiyuk’s rankings and how he is one of the best in the game today and will keep growing as a player.

Aiyuk listed an all-time great on his rankings that is known for his time with the San Francisco 49ers, but was also a member of the Buffalo Bills for one season. Terrell Owens signed with the Bills in the 2009 offseason in which he was 36 years old at the time but still managed to put up 829 yards off 55 receptions and added 5 touchdowns. To this day, Terrell Owens is tied for the longest touchdown reception in Bills history when he caught a 98 yard touchdown pass from Ryan Fitzpatrick against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Josh Allen and Gabe Davis tied that record in 2022 when the duo connected for a 98 yard touchdown pass against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Owens was voted to the Pro Bowl six times and was a four time First-Team All-Pro player. Having played for the 49ers, Eagles, Cowboys, Bills and Bengals, Owens established himself as one of the most talented receivers in NFL history. He finished his career with 1,078 receptions for 15,934 yards and 153 touchdowns. He averaged over 70 yards per game in his career and had eight seasons where he had 10+ receiving touchdowns.

Along with Owens, Aiyuk also listed Jerry Rice, Antonio Brown, Randy Moss and Julio Jones on his list.
