Final score prediction for Bills vs. Dolphins primetime Week 2 matchup
By Brandon Ray
Getting a win in the NFL is already hard enough. Doing it against a divisional rival is even harder. While the Buffalo Bills have had control of the AFC East the last four seasons, there has only been one season where it was a walk in the park. The rest of the time, they faced a little bit of adversity.
Going into Week 2, the Bills find themselves on the road for an exciting primetime matchup against the Miami Dolphins. The team that has been challenging the Bills for the division has come up short against Buffalo and they cannot get over the hump when they take on Josh Allen.
Buffalo has been on the losing side against the Dolphins just twice since 2018. It seems like that when these two teams face off, it is a safe bet to always take the Bills. Last year going into Week 4 against the Bills, the Dolphins were coming off a 70-20 victory over the Denver Broncos and had a lot of momentum. They got outplayed by Buffalo heavily and lost 48-20.
Buffalo is set up to defeat a team like Miami because if they can’t get their fast offense going, there is no threat to the Bills. The good news for the Bills is that they won’t have to deal with the scorching heat under the sun. However, it could still be very warm just because it is so early in the season.
The Bills need to come right out of the gate and not let up. They cannot afford to have this game come down to the wire because all it takes is one simple mistake, and then the Dolphins will own the tiebreaker until they meet again later on in the season.
Sean McDermott and Bobby Babich will need to come up with the perfect scheme to make Tua Tagovailoa throw the ball to beat them. With Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane missing practice this week leading up to the game, there is a good chance that Buffalo will just need to prepare for the Miami pass attack. However, Bills fans will need to monitor this situation leading up to Thursday.
The NFL world will get a fantastic division matchup between Buffalo and Miami. This game could be the difference maker as the playoffs approach because both teams are expected to make a run at the playoffs. Even though Miami has a ton of talent, they can just seem to never find an answer to beat the Bills. Buffalo leaves South Beach with the division win and will get the chance to get extra rest before their Week 3 Monday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
