The Buffalo Bills have a short week going into Week 8, but are back at home to host Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After a poor performance in New England, the Bills find themselves at 4-3 with two division losses and will now be tasked to take on a Tampa Bay team who is at 3-3, coming off a three point loss to the Atlanta Falcons. The Buccaneers have lost two in a row so they will be looking to get back on track against a beaten up Bills squad.

Despite the Bills’ struggles and injuries, Buffalo’s defense is on track to be a good fantasy option on Thursday night. The Buccaneers’ offense is averaging 298 yards per game, and the 29th ranked overall offense.

They only have one game where Mayfield has thrown for over 300 yards and two games of 100+ yards or more. Averaging 78 yards on the ground and 220 passing yards a game, the Bucs have only had two double digit victories (10 and 17).

Mayfield is averaging just one passing touchdown a game, but has completed over 65% of his passes. Starting running back Rachaad White only has one rushing touchdown on the season and only averaging 44 yards on the ground.

Another key factor to keep in mind is that the Buccaneers have yet to put up 28 points in a game, something that the Bills have been able to do three times. On defense, Buffalo does indeed have their struggles and has a lot of concerns when it comes to injuries.

At the end of the day, they did get beat by the New England Patriots, but this upcoming game against Tampa Bay has to be a get better game. By a get better game, it is time to fix the mistakes on both sides of the ball.
