Safety (4)

Mike Edwards, Taylor Rapp, Cole Bishop, Damar Hamlin

The safety position looks very different with Jordan Poyer and Micah Hyde no longer on the roster. They have been a big part of the roster the past seven seasons and it is not easy replacing players like that.

However, general manager Brandon Beane has done a pretty good job to get the position where it is with the limited cap space. It started by re-signing Taylor Rapp before the start of free agency and then adding Mike Edwards to a one-year deal.

During the NFL Draft, Beane drafted Cole Bishop in the second round and he is a versatile player that might not start right away but it wouldn't be surprising at some point if he didn't take over as a starter.

The Bills have historically had four safeties on their 53-man roster and considering they don't have the stability of Hyde and Poyer, they may want to have more than four but right now this should be the group.

Special Teams (3)

Tyler Bass, Matt Haack, Reid Ferguson

The Buffalo Bills are set to have a position battle at punter between Sam Martin, who has been the team's punter the past two seasons, and Matt Haack, who was the punter for the season prior to Martin. The battle may be decided not for punting but rather who does a better job holding field goals for Tyler Bass.
