Dolphins fullback shows Bills live rent-free in Miami's head
By Brandon Ray
It’s rivalry week for the Buffalo Bills as they head down to Miami to take on their bitter rival, the Dolphins. Both teams are coming off wins from Week 1 so one of these teams is leaving Thursday night with their first loss of the season (unless we get the rare tie). Division games are always no matter what because both teams are very familiar with each other. They place against each other twice and both games can be the difference maker of winning the division, and having to play on the road in the playoffs.
Since 2018, the Bills have only lost to the Dolphins twice by a combined six points. Meanwhile in the Bills’ victories against Miami since Josh Allen was drafted, Buffalo has defeated Miami by a combined 173 points. It is safe to say that the Bills have dominated the Dolphins for the last six seasons.
For some reason, Allen always seems to have his best game against Miami, but Bills fans don’t mind that at all, considering the fact at one point in history, it was the Dolphins who were dominating the Bills. Going into this Week 2 primetime matchup, there have already been comments made by a specific member of the Dolphins when it comes to their feelings about the Bills.
Dolphins’ fullback Alec Ingold, who is one of the best fullbacks in the game, recently talked about how the Dolphins and Bills don’t like each other and how this is the “kind of game that you want to play in”.
Miami Dolphins have heavily struggled against the Buffalo Bills
Is it considered a rivalry if one team wins a majority of the time? That’s for you to decide, but to say that Miami and Buffalo is a great rivalry is a bit of a stretch seeing as how it seems like Buffalo always gets the upper hand on Miami. It’s not even close anymore and that should make Bills fans happy.
The two division rivals have battled neck-and-neck the last couple of seasons for the AFC East, but the Bills have always come out on top. This includes a wild card round playoff game where the Bills defeated the Dolphins, 34-31.
This Week 2 matchup is going to be a fun one for the NFL world. Two teams who don’t like each other are going at it, but recent history has shown us that Buffalo will always have the upper hand. If Miami can’t get their pass-happy offense into rhythm, Buffalo is going to control this game once again.
