1.) Miami Dolphins (6-2) - win vs. New England Patriots, 31-17

The Dolphins were looking to bounce back from their Week 7 loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, and were looking to do so against the New England Patriots. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa came into this game still undefeated against Bill Belichick, and having defeated the Patriots in Week 2 this season.

At the end of the day, the Dolphins have too much firepower as compared to the Patriots. The Dolphins threw the ball 45 times despite taking the lead and never giving it back after the first quarter. The last time these two teams faced off, Miami ran the ball all over the field. That was not the case this week. Raheem Mostert only managed to run for 46 yards, but did get in the endzone once.

Jaylen Waddle was the leading receiver in the receiving game, posting a 7 reception game for 121 yards and a touchdown. However, Tyreek Hill managed to put up 8 receptions for 112 yards and a score himself as well. Both guys were targeted a total of 25 times.

Miami’s defense sacked Mac Jones three times and applied seven QB hits. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who made his season debut, got his first interception of the game that he returned 49 yards, as well as adding on a pass deflection.

Miami’s dominance of New England continues for yet another season, and the Dolphins remain atop of the AFC East going into Week 9. They will look to continue to stay on top as they get set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany.
