3.) New York Jets (4-3) - win vs. New York Giants, 13-10 in OT

Coming off a bye week last week, the Jets faced off against the New York Giants in what would be arguably the worst game on the Sunday slate. In the first half, there were 15 punts between both teams and neither team managed to convert a third down.

Injuries hit the Giants once again, losing tight end Darren Waller and quarterback Tyrod Taylor for the game. However, the Giants managed to get up on the Jets in the third quarter, and had the chance to go up by a touchdown late in the fourth quarter until they missed a field goal.

The Jets took over possession and drove it down the field into field goal range, and managed to spike it with one second left in regulation. The Jets managed to tie the game and send it to overtime, before eventually kicking a game-winning field goal to win 13-10. There is a lot to forget about in this win for the Jets.

First, Zach Wilson was the leading rusher with 25 yards and Breece Hall only had 17 yards on the ground off of 12 carries. In addition, Wilson also fumbled twice which led to turnovers. Outside of Garrett Wilson, Allen Lazard was the only other true wide receiver to bring in a reception for New York.

The Jets’ defense is what got them the win, but it also shows that the Giants will always be competitive considering what they are going through with multiple injuries across the board. The Jets are half a game behind the Bills going into Week 9, and now turn their attention to the Los Angeles Chargers on Monday night football.
