4.) New York Jets (1-3) - loss vs. Kansas City Chiefs, 23-20

In this primetime matchup, of what was expected to be Aaron Rodgers vs. Patrick Mahomes, it turned out to be a “come down to the wire” type of game between Zach Wilson and Mahomes. After the Kansas City Chiefs took an early 17-0 lead, the New York Jets came back to make it a one score game at 17-12, before eventually being tied 20-20 going into the fourth quarter.

The Chiefs would kick a field goal to go up by three with over 10 minutes to go, giving the Jets an opportunity to pull off the upset under the big lights. Unfortunately, the Jets do what the Jets do and make a costly mistake with a Wilson fumble that handed the Chiefs the victory.

Despite losing, the Jets looked like the better football team but the x-factor for the Chiefs was running back Isiah Pacheco who rushed for 115 yards and a touchdown. Wilson played like the better quarterback compared to Mahomes, with a higher QB rating, more yards and touchdowns.

This can be considered a respectable loss by the Jets, but in the end they remain at the bottom of the AFC East. They do however have a chance to turn things around when they fly out to Denver in Week 5 to take on the Broncos who just got past the Chicago Bears for their first win of the season.
