Quarterback: Josh Allen, Kyle Allen, Matt Barkley (3)

It’s quite obvious that Allen is a lock. Franchise quarterback and arguably in the conversation for the best quarterback in the league. As far as the backup position, this is where it gets interesting.

With the NFL owners approving a new rule that allows teams to designate an emergency quarterback on game day, the Bills may want to consider bringing on three quarterbacks for the roster.

The Bills signed Kyle Allen in free agency and Barkley has been a great teammate and locker room addition to the team. There is a possibility that this extra addition of Barkley to the roster may not happen, but with the style of football that Josh Allen plays, there should be atleast a consideration.

Running back: James Cook, Damien Harris, Latavius Murray, Reggie Gilliam (4)

This running back committee should be almost guaranteed with these four players. There was a debate as to whether or not Murray would be on the roster because of Nyheim Hines potentially serving as a pass-catching back. However, with Hines’ season coming to an abrupt end before it started, this should almost put Murray on the final roster for sure.

Cool has been getting the early praise in training camp with his route running and breakaway speed that has been portrayed. Harris and Murray have the big build to run into contact and push a pile for a first down.

Gilliam will more than likely serve in a fullback or tight end role. While there are four backs on this projection, the true back that everyone seems excited for is Cook himself.
