6 upcoming free agents the Bills should let walk in 2024

Looking ahead, a couple of positions should look much different.

3. Damien Harris, RB

After Buffalo signed Damien Harris, the biggest worry had to do with the veteran's inability to stay on the field. Over his time with the New England Patriots, it seemed as though Harris was always banged up. Even if he played, Harris was rarely fully healthy.

This season, fans' fears came true as Harris went on injured reserve with a neck injury. When healthy, Harris was not a bad player. He just hasn't been able to stay on the field consistently, and the Bills need consistency behind James Cook. Going after another back or two in next year's draft and free agent class might not be a bad idea.

4. Gabriel Davis, WR

Talk about a season where you bet on yourself. Gabriel Davis started out hot, scoring a touchdown in four out of his first five games in 2023. He cooled off a bit before going over the 100-yard mark in his most recent contest against Philadelphia.

And that, my friends, is the story of Gabe Davis. He's hot and cold, and rarely do you know what you're going to get out of him. With his explosions, Davis will likely want a good chunk of change in free agency. But, the Bills shouldn't give it to him while also paying Stefon Diggs. Instead, they need to find his replacement in the draft and hope that the guy they find is far more equipped to give them stability, week-in and week-out.
