While moves during the season aren't as common as the offseason, general manager Brandon Beane and the Buffalo Bills have continued to try to find ways to improve the roster. Some of these moves have worked out better than others and these are grades for the three most notable transactions during the 2023 season.

Buffalo Bills sign free agent running back Leonard Fournette

One of the more notable moves is one that Buffalo Bills fans might have already forgotten about. However, after the trade deadline the Bills signed free agent running back Leonard Fournette.

At the time, the move made a lot of sense as the Bills could use a bigger back to pair with James Cook. While Latavius Murray has played well at times, Fournette could provide more to an offense that was struggling to establish the run.

However, Fournette has yet to see a snap and has not been elevated from the practice squad. It is certainly surprising and the reasoning for not is a bit of a mystery. For now, it is tough to give any kind of grade.
