Terrel Bernard

The Buffalo Bills are searching for a new starting linebacker this offseason and one of those players competing to replace Tremaine Edmunds is Terrel Bernard. He was a third round pick last year by the Bills and got off to a fast start with a fumble recovery for a touchdown in the first preseason game of the season.

However, during the regular season, he had a limited role and played only 110 defensive snaps during the regular season with a majority of his production being on special teams. He would finish the regular season with 22 total tackles but did have seven in his one start last year against the New York Jets but that was in place of Matt Milano.

If Bernard earns the starting job, he has the potential to have a breakout season, especially if he can continue to make impact plays like that fumble recovery. However, if he doesn't beat out players like Tyrel Dodson and A.J. Klein, he will be limited once again to primarily being a special teams contributor.
