As the Buffalo Bills prepare themselves for a Monday night showdown against the Denver Broncos, the Bills are facing some injuries from various players. Guys like Christian Benford and Micah Hyde did not practice on Thursday and Friday. Linebacker Terrel Bernard has been limited due to suffering a concussion last week against the Bengals. Now star wide receiver Stefon Diggs went on the injury report this week with a reported back injury.

With this latest news, this is definitely a situation to monitor going into the Monday night game. Diggs has never missed a game since joining the Bills back in 2020 and is no his way to another fantastic season with the Bills. He has 70 receptions for 834 yards and 7 touchdowns. He has had 6 games of 10+ targets as well, where there are times that he is the receiving game before the emergence of rookie tight end Dalton Kincaid.

What does the injury to Stefon Diggs mean for the Buffalo Bills?

If there is a time to worry, it is now. While there has not been any additional information about the injury status to Diggs, if the number one option for the Bills is not good to go in a must win game for the Bills, the offense could be super limited overall.

There has been frustration of Josh Allen looking like he is always going towards Diggs this season. While Diggs is the biggest playmaker on the offense, a defense is going to eventually figure out the reads. Receivers like Gabe Davis and Deonte Harty have not been super involved in the receving game recently. While a slot receiver like Khalil Shakir has been getting more looks the last two weeks than he has before, the Bills' offense so far as been Stefon Diggs and recently Dalton Kincaid.

That cannot be the case going into Monday night. Whether or not Diggs is good to go, Buffalo will need to spread the ball around more to throw defenses off their game plan and make them guess where the ball is going.
