Prediction: Buffalo Bills Win a Close Game

If you're an avid bettor, be careful picking the Bills to cover the spread against the Commanders on Sunday. While the Bills are certainly the better team, at least on paper, the Commanders should wreak havoc in the Bills offensive backfield this weekend, while making enough plays on offense to keep things close.

The Commanders have some noteworthy players on their offense, including Pro Bowl wide receiver Terry McLaurin who has recorded 1,000-plus receiving yards and at least four touchdowns in each of the past three seasons — despite seeing a revolving door at the quarterback position in recent years.

Couple McLaurins talent with the emergence of second-year quarterback Sam Howell — who completed almost 70% of his passes last week for 299 yards and two touchdowns against a stingy Broncos defense — and it's no surprise that the Commanders are undefeated through two weeks.

But the Bills superstar playmakers on both sides of the ball should do enough to outlast a young Commanders squad. While I wouldn't be sure that the Bills cover a 6.5-point spread, I'll take them to win 23—17.
