Week 17: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills

The days of the New England Patriots running the AFC East are becoming a distant memory and there is a case to be made that they are the worst team in the division. The Patriots did seem to address the biggest issue, which was on the offensive side of the ball by bringing in Bill O'Brien to be offensive coordinator.

While Bill Belichick is one of the greatest coaches in NFL history, there is a large gap in terms of talent when looking at the two rosters. The Patriots are unlikely to keep up with the Bills offense in this game and the Bills extend their win streak and potentially lock up the AFC East in front of the home crowd.

Prediction: Win (12-4)

Week 18: Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins

The NFL has not done the Buffalo Bills any favors when it comes to their annual game in Miami as the past three years the Bills have had to play that game early in the season. At this point of the year, the heat has typically played a factor, like last season when the team had a number of players deal with cramps.

Fortunately, that won't be the case this year as the Buffalo Bills end the regular season with a trip to South Beach. There is no question that this game could have significant implications on the race in the division and potentially seeding in the playoffs.

A road game to end the season with stakes this high isn't ideal and the Bills end the season with a loss. If the Bills have the record they do, they could have the division locked up prior to this game while Miami is still playing for a Wild Card spot.

Prediction: Loss (12-5)
