The Buffalo Bills are set to add another chapter of their rivalry with the Kansas City Chiefs but this time it will be at Highmark Stadium. While the Bills have the advantage of being at home, they unfortunately will be without several players for this game.
On Friday morning, head coach Sean McDermott was on WGR550 and confirmed that the Bills would be without wide receiver Gabe Davis, safety Taylor Rapp, linebacker Baylon Spector, and cornerback Christian Benford.
This will be the second playoff game that Davis has missed this season after suffering a knee injury against the Miami Dolphins in the regular season finale. It is a big loss for the offense as Davis has been on the field for close to 90% of the snaps this season.
Davis also has had a historic performance in this rivalry with four receiving touchdowns two years ago in the AFC Divisional Round against the Chiefs.
On the defensive side of the ball that has been ruled out is Christian Benford, who had a knee injury against the Steelers. The likely replacement for him in this game would be Dane Jackson but Kaiir Elam might get some snaps as well after a big interception in the Wild Card Round.
Buffalo Bill should have key starters back for this game against the Chiefs
While there are key players who are out, the defense should have some important starters back for this game. Last week against the Steelers, the Bills didn't have Tyrel Dodson and Rasul Douglas due to injuries.
The extra week of rest has worked out well for them as now both will be available for this game and should have a big impact for the defense. However, it won't be until later today or even leading up to Sunday about who will officially be active.
