The Buffalo Bills are set to take the field at Highmark Stadium for the first time in the 2023 regular season on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders. After a deflating defeat on Monday night, the Bills are looking to get back on track and secure their first win of the season.
Entering this game, the Bills once again had a clean injury report as the only player who was on the injury report was center Mitch Morse. He was dealing with a finger injury but practiced in full all week and doesn't have an injury designation for the game.
Jakobi Meyers ruled out for Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills
However, the Raiders aren't so lucky as starting wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has been ruled out after suffering a concussion in Week 1 against the Denver Broncos. He was having a great game prior to the injury with nine receptions, 81 yards and two touchdowns receptions.
This is Meyers' first season with the Raiders and it was clear that head coach Josh McDaniels wanted him to be a big part of this offense. McDaniels is plenty familiar with Meyers as prior to joining the Raiders, he played four seasons with the Patriots while McDaniels was the offensive coordinator for the first three years of Meyers' career.
Even without Jakobi Meyers, the Las Vegas Raiders offense has plenty of playmakers with running back Josh Jacobs and wide receivers Davante Adams and Hunter Renfrow. Jacobs and Adams are two of the best at their respective positions and the Buffalo Bills defense will still have a tough task ahead of them this week
However, it certainly has gotten a little easier without Jakobi Meyers on the field. The Buffalo Bills and Las Vegas Raiders will kick off at 1 PM on Sunday for their Week 2 matchup.
