Buffalo Bills News: Sean McDermott believes Terrel Bernard had 'magnificent year'

This time last year, the Bills had some big questions at middle linebacker with Tremaine Edmunds set to be a free agent. The former first round pick had been a fixture of Sean McDermott's defense and there was a belief that he was likely to leave in free agency.

That came to fruition and surprisingly the Bills didn't really address the position during free agency and only used a third round pick on Dorian Williams. It was a bit of a gamble but it paid off in the long run because Terrel Bernard was excellent replacing Edmunds.

During the NFL Combine, Sean McDermott was asked about Terrel Bernard and was very complimentary and said he had a 'magnificent year'. While fans see the performance on the field, where he had three interceptions and three fumble recoveries along with 143 tackles, McDermott described his leadership off the field.

After the season Bernard had and with Matt Milano expected to return, linebacker is not much of a concern for the Bills this offseason.
