Buffalo Bills News: Brandon Beane sees no reason to not pick up fifth-year option for Greg Rousseau

One of the decisions the Buffalo Bills still have to make this offseason is whether or not to pick up the fifth year option for defensive end Greg Rousseau. He was the team's first round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and is entering the final year of his rookie contract.

However, being a first round pick the Bills have the chance to add an extra year to his rookie contract and keep him under contract through the 2025 season. If the Bills were to pick up the fifth-year option it would be a salary over $13 million, according to Over the Cap.

On Sunday, Beane was asked if a decision had been made on Rousseau's fifth year option. He said there has not been an official decision made yet but he sees no reason they won't. The Buffalo Bills will have until May 2nd to make that decision.
