Buffalo Bills bring in Cooper DeJean on Top-30 visit ahead of NFL Draft
This is the final week for NFL teams to bring in players for a Top 30 visit and one of those final visits for the Bills includes defensive back Cooper DeJean. According to Jordan Schultz, the former Iowa Hawkeye met with the Bills on Tuesday.
DeJean is one of the more polarizing prospects in this year's NFL Draft, especially in that group of potential first round picks. The reason being is that he doesn't really fit in one position based on his skillset.
During college, he began as a safety before moving to cornerback and showed a great ability to force turnovers with seven interceptions but more importantly was able to put points on the bound by returning three for touchdowns.
There are some interesting parallels between Cooper DeJean and former long-time safety Micah Hyde. Both played at Iowa and Hyde during his time with the Packers played more nickel and cornerback before the Bills moved him to safety. The Bills could see something similar in DeJean but instead of him playing cornerback just move him right to safety.
