4.) Jordan Phillips
The Bills defensive suffered a great loss with an injury to DaQuan Jones, who was placed on injured reserve for the season. Jones hurt his pec in Week 5 and now the Bills will be without his presence for the foreseeable future.
This is where guys like Poona Ford and Jordan Phillips should get some extra reps next to Ed Oliver. Phillips has been a good player up to this week, with two sacks, six total tackles and two batted down passes from the line of scrimmage.
With the rotation of the defensive line that Sean McDermott implements, there might be more of a solid foundation as to who will be the second defensive tackle upfront, putting Phillips in a prime position to potentially take over starting duties. Buffalo has struggled against the run this season (giving up 196 total yards on the ground in Week 5), and this is now a must-watch unit moving forward to see who gives the Bills the best chance at winning the line of scrimmage.
