The Buffalo Bills have been pretty lucky through the first three weeks of the season in terms of injuries. However, this week that changed as Jordan Poyer was already ruled out on Friday due to an injury.

This is a big loss for a secondary against a high-powered Dolphins passing game. However, the secondary takes another big loss as cornerback Christian Benford left early with a shoulder injury.

According to Buffalo Bills PR, Benford is questionable to return however he was being taken for x-rays. While he is questionable, typically if a player goes for X-rays it means they are done for the day.

Benford, who was a sixth round pick by the Buffalo Bills last season, earned the starting job during training camp this summer. He would beat out Dane Jackson and first round pick Kaiir Elam and started all three games to begin the season.

With Elam inactive for this game, the Bills now have Dane Jackson as the starter with Cam Lewis likely the backup if the need were to arise.

Early in the game, both offenses were moving the ball with ease as each team scored a touchdown on their first two drives. However, the Bills defense finally got a stop on the drive that Benford was hurt.

Unfortunately, the Buffalo Bills offense couldn't take advantage of the stop and the offense had to punt back to Miami. It will be interesting to see if Benford is able to return and if not, hopefully he isn't forced to miss more time past this game.
