Buffalo Bills heavily disrespected in latest B/R 2024 record predictions

There once again seems to be no faith for the Buffalo Bills heading into 2024.

It wouldn’t be football season without the Buffalo Bills receiving some sort of disrespect. After suffering a disastrous 33-6 loss in their first preseason game to the hands of the Chicago Bears, the Bills will be looking to bounce back this weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Again, it’s just preseason. However, the Bills showed no signs of greatness against the Bears.

Even though the Bills have only played one true game, they are already facing major disrespect heading into the regular season. Maurice Moton from Bleacher Report created a prediction list for every team’s record after just one preseason game. The Bills received a record of 9-8 and finished in third place behind the New York Jets (10-7) and the Miami Dolphins (11-6).

"As Josh Allen builds connections with his new receivers and stronger ones with familiar faces, he may play a little more hero ball than the Bills would like to see, which could cost them some games. Yet he's talented enough to get hot and go on a run similar to last season. Despite key departures on defense, head coach Sean McDermott maintains a top-tier unit to help out an offense that may struggle in spots."

The Buffalo Bills will not finish behind the Jets or the Dolphins

The Bills are seeking their fifth consecutive division title in 2024. They stole the division away from the Dolphins at the end of the season last year which gave Buffalo a home playoff game while Miami had to travel to Kansas City. The Dolphins are not able to win in the cold winter months which gives Buffalo an advantage. Not to mention, Josh Allen always puts on a dominating performance against the Dolphins.

When it comes to the Jets, there are too many distractions that are bound to mess up their progress. Aaron Rodgers is always in the media for something other than what he is doing on the field and now there is drama with edge rusher Haason Reddick regarding a new contract. In addition, Robert Saleh is coaching for his job so he has almost no room for error.

While the Bills for sure won’t have an easy path to another division title, there is no true reason to believe in any other team within the AFC East. The Dolphins have shown us that they can’t win when the pressure is on. The Jets are bound to have something go against them. Then there are the New England Patriots, who will be looking forward to the 2025 season as 2024 is a major development year.
